Celebrities, parents and others on social media reacted in a big way to CNN’s special report, “#Being13: Inside the Secret World of Teens,” hosted by Anderson Cooper on Monday night.
The special tackled how social media was affecting the lives of young teens on a daily basis.
Before and during the show, CNN anchors and contributors shared photos of themselves at 13, and celebrities from Cher to Chris Pratt shared their own photos.
During the special, the hashtag #Being13 trended worldwide as Twitter took part in the conversation. Some shared what they learned from the special.
Others were just disturbed by what they saw.
As Twitter user Bianca Aguilar put it, it’s not the phones that teens are addicted to, but the access and exposure they provide.
