They "reunited" for a restaurant opening in Stockholm

Who would have thought we could take a chance on seeing ABBA back together?

The group so many love (or love to hate) reunited in Stockholm on Wednesday for the opening of member Bjorn Ulvaeus’ new restaurant. It’s based on the Greek tavern featured in “Mamma Mia!” the Broadway musical that Ulvaeus and fellow member Benny Andersson helped create, based around their songs.

Fans were thrilled when Ulvaeus, Andersson, Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad posed together.

The Swedish pop group – whose hits like “Take a Chance on Me,” “Dancing Queen” and “Voulez-Vous” are still popular – disbanded in 1982 and have resisted fans’ urging to perform together again.

The members exchanged hugs and waved to a cheering crowd on Wednesday night.

In 2008, the group came together for the premiere of the film version of “Mamma Mia!” starring Meryl Streep.

The AFP reported that when asked Wednesday whether they were getting the band back together, Ulvaeus responded, “We are here to party.”
