Seeing red: Thousands of ginger-haired folk meet at Irish Redhead Convention
Cork was a sea of red hair as thousands gathered for the Irish Redhead Convention on Saturday, August 20, 2016.

Newly-crowned "king" and "queen" of the redheads Emma Ni Chearuil and Alan O' Neill ride in a car at their coronation parade. Over 40 "ginger-themed" events took place over the three-day event -- including redhead seminars, speed dating and prizes for the most freckles per square inch, according to the convention's website.
