Jony Ive's designs are going beyond Apple products this holiday season.

Apple's (AAPL) chief design officer is teaming up with industrial designer Marc Newson to design a Christmas tree for the Claridge's hotel in London.

The pair's creation will appear in the hotel lobby on November 18. The luxury hotel has had famous designers create an opulent tree every year since 2009. The hotel announced the collaboration on Wednesday. Newson joined Apple in 2014.

Last year, a tech-inspired tree by Christopher Bailey for Burberry included over 100 umbrellas and thousands of lights that illuminated when guests walked by.

There's no word yet on whether the halls will be decked with iPhones, but it's not the first time Ive and Newson have teamed up to make something off-brand. The duo customized a grand piano, and made a custom Leica digital camera and a desk to auction off in support of the HIV/AIDS charity (RED) in 2013.
