The House of Mouse will give a first glimpse of its new Disney+ streaming service during the company's investor day presentation April 11.
Disney (DIS) plans to launch the service with several new original shows, including the eagerly awaited live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and a Marvel series starring Tom Hiddleston.
The news comes just after Netflix (NFLX) missed Wall Street's sales forecasts, which sent that streamer's shares falling.
Netflix is still the king of streaming of course, and the company claims its focus is not on competitors but on "how we can improve our experience for our members."
But considering how Disney+ is pulling content from Netflix ahead of its launch, it will be interesting to see if Netflix is still saying "Hakuna Matata" come April.
