President Donald Trump said late Friday that tariffs on Mexican goods are “indefinitely suspended” after negotiators from the US and Mexico were able to reach a deal on immigration enforcement.
Their joint declaration says Mexico will take “unprecedented steps” to increase enforcement in order to curb irregular migration, including the deployment of its National Guard, along with “decisive action” to dismantle human smuggling.
