AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Police Division is asking for the public's assistance in determining the whereabouts of Aniah Haley Blanchard, age 19 from Auburn. She was reported missing to Auburn Police on Oct. 24. She last communicated with a friend on Wednesday night, Oct. 23, just before midnight. An investigation into determining her whereabouts is underway. At this point, there is no evidence of foul play; however, the investigation will continue until her whereabouts are determined. Aniah is described as a light-complexioned black female, 5'-6" , 125 lbs., brown eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing a black dress, tan duck boots with black stockings. She drives a 2017 Honda CR-V, black in color with Alabama tag #49BS356. The whereabouts of the vehicle are not known, as well.

A man wanted in connection with the disappearance of Alabama college student Aniah Blanchard has been arrested in Florida and agreed to be extradited, authorities said Friday.

Ibraheem Yazeed, 30, was captured coming into Florida by US Marshals and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the sheriff’s office told CNN. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail early Friday and will appear in court November 27, according to jail records. It’s not clear if Yazeed has a permanent attorney.

CNN affiliate WEAR in Pensacola was at an extradition hearing where a public defender waived Yazeed’s right to oppose being sent back to Alabama.

Jail records show he was released at 5:02 p.m. Lee County (Alabama) District Court Judge Russell Bush issued a gag order Friday night that bars those involved with the case from discussing it with media, Auburn Police Division spokesman Lorenza Dorsey told CNN.

Police in Auburn issued an arrest warrant Thursday for Yazeed on suspicion of kidnapping in the first degree, according to a police statement. Blanchard was last seen October 23 in Auburn and her damaged SUV was found in Montgomery.

“Analysis of evidence has determined that Yazeed was at the same location Blanchard was last seen and is involved in taking Aniah against her will,” the statement said Thursday. “He should be considered dangerous and potentially armed.”

Evidence in her car led police to believe the 19-year-old college student, who is the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris, was harmed during the crime.

Her SUV had damage to the front right fender and scrapes on a passenger side door. Police said the vehicle had no damage when it was last seen and asked anyone with information on Blanchard’s disappearance or on the damage to the SUV to contact them.

Yazeed was accused of attempted murder in another case earlier this year in Montgomery, Alabama. Allegedly Yazeed, along with three others, beat a man while armed with a handgun till the victim was near death, according to court documents. He was out on bond for that charge.

Blanchard, a black woman with a light complexion, attends Southern Union State Community College, which has several campuses in East Alabama. She is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs about 125 pounds and was last seen wearing a black dress, tan duck boots and black stockings.

The reward for helping to find Blanchard and any perpetrators involved in the case stands at more than $100,000.

UFC President Dana White had pledged to contribute additional money to the reward offered by Gov. Kay Ivey.

“To help find Aniah, I’m contributing an additional $25,000 to Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey’s $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators involved in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard,” he said in a video posted to Twitter.
