Until next time

Matias Grez

That's all for another night of crazy Champions League action.

We thought Tuesday's absurd matches and moments couldn't be matched on Wednesday ... but they most certainly were.

Despite not scoring, all the talk centered around Cristiano Ronaldo's performance for Juventus -- in particular his 'stolen' goal.

Perhaps the Portuguese star will be having a word on goalscoring etiquette with Aaron Ramsey, after the Welshman prodded Ronaldo's goalbound effort over the line.

After that came a surprise stint in goal for Manchester City defender Kyle Walker after Ederson was substituted and his replacement Claudio Bravo sent off.

And he did what the two goalkeepers before him failed to do ... make a save!

There was also a 6-0 win for Real Madrid and a hat-trick for 18-year-old Rodrygo, plus some Champions League history for Karim Benzema.

For a detailed roundup of another bonkers night of football, you can read James Masters and John Sinnott's report here.

The Champions League takes a three-week break now, so we'll see you for the penultimate round of fixtures on November 26 and 27.

Benzema makes it to 50 UCL goals

James Masters

Karim Benzema reached a landmark with his two goals in Real's 6-0 win over Galatasaray.

Not only did the brace take him to 50 Champions League goals, it also means he has now scored in 15 consecutive editions of the tournament. Only Lionel Messi had done that before tonight.

Only Raul and Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more Champions League goals for Real than the Frenchman.

Here he is talking about his latest achievement. Click the tweet below for the interview.

Tough to take

Matias Grez

Usually so solid at the back, Atletico Madrid was uncharacteristically sloppy in defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.

A bizarre headed own goal from Thomas Partey was followed by Kevin Volland's second-half strike, before Alvaro Morata scored a late consolation goal.

That win gives Leverkusen its first points of this Champions League campaign and faint hope of a place in the last 16.

Rodrygo: "This has been the realization of a dream"

James Masters

What a night for Brazilian wonderkid Rodrygo.

The 18-year-old scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid thrashed Galatasaray 6-0 to move closer to the last 16.

Here's what the teenager has had to say after becoming the club's second youngest goal scorer in the Champions League.

“I’m extremely satisfied tonight," Rodrygo told UEFA.com.

"This has been the realization of a dream. Every day I’m advancing a little faster than I’d anticipated. But my attitude is always to work hard, prepare myself and try to ensure that what comes my way doesn’t feel so new or unfamiliar.”

Finally!

Matias Grez

They say good things come to those who wait ... and Tottenham finally ended a wait of 183 days for an away win in all competitions.

Spurs hadn't tasted victory on the road since that stunning comeback against Ajax in last season's Champions League semifinal -- a win that came all the way back in May (how time flies).

Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping he doesn't have to wait another 183 for the next away win.

He's a keeper

Matias Grez

Against Atalanta, Manchester City full-back -- and part-time goalkeeper -- Kyle Walker did something both Ederson and Claudio Bravo failed to do before him ... make a save!

After Ederson was brought off as a precautionary measure against injury and Bravo was shown a red card, Walker spent the last 10 minutes between the sticks.

He managed to keep out Ruslan Malinovsky's free-kick but then, thanks to City's defense, had absolutely nothing to do for the remainder of the match.

“I try and sometimes banter the keepers in training but I found you sometimes have to take two touches to make a save," Kyle Walker told BT Sport.

And how's this for a bit of Champions League trivia for Walker ...

Stat's much better

Could that be the victory -- and performance -- Tottenham needed to turn its season around?

Full time: Red Star 0-4 Tottenham

Matias Grez

A supremely impressive away performances by Spurs.

Considering Tottenham's dodgy away record this year and the fearsome cauldron that is the Rajko Mitić Stadium, Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino will be delighted.

Red Star has taken some big scalps on home soil over the years, including last season's Champions League winner Liverpool.

Before tonight, Red Star hadn't conceded more than one goal in its previous 72 home matches.

This is also Red Star's biggest ever home defeat.

Rodrygo claims hat-trick as Real hit six

It's full time in Madrid and what a night for Rodrygo.

The young Brazilian claims his third and Real's sixth to make it 6-0 against Galatasaray.

This probably isn't he last we've heard of him we suspect.
