Signs with messages of support for US Capitol Police officers are being posted in a tunnel between the Capitol and House office buildings in the wake of last Wednesday's Capitol attack.
The effort was organized by Committee on House Administration Republicans, according to their communications director, Ashley Phelps.
"This is the entrance most people come in the Capitol," Phelps told CNN as to why they had chosen the tunnel to put up the signs. She added that the action allows "people to show their appreciation" for the Capitol Police and other law enforcement in the wake of the attack by supporters of President Donald Trump.
